The article about school libraries has me wondering if kids are still taught that awkward beast, the Dewey decimal system. I recall having to memorize categories, and all you really need to do is look at a number and be able to find it on a shelf. I'm thinking about how you can make libraries less intimidating to kids. Recently I saw a suggestion of Dewey signage that included illustrations of the topics, to give a visual cue to kids who are less verbally inclined. Ah, well, library issues are fascinating to me. Do they have a future, yada yada. Plenty of good topics there. Keep on writing; good to see your stuff!
Thank you Aunt B. I appreciate your kind words!
